In line with the UK Government’s guidance for Higher Education institutions, we have carefully developed our plans for the 2021/22 academic year.
Our overriding aim is to provide a safe environment for studying, working, visiting and living for our staff, students and guests.
We are pleased to have been able to welcome our students in person for the start of this academic year. The precise make up of educational delivery will vary, reflecting the specific needs of each course, but we are delivering as much in-person learning as we safely can.
Of course, we have learned a great deal about adapting our plans and know that we can move most of our provision online, should circumstances require it.
Most of our facilities are open, with appropriate safety measures in place. Do check our up-to-date information about which facilities are available before visiting.
Health and wellbeing
The health, wellbeing and safety of our community and City continue to be a priority in all our plans.
We have published new Be Safe guidance for students, staff and visitors and ask that they familiarise themselves with this information. Please note that face coverings are still expected and recommended in many indoor locations, so please bring one with you when visiting our campus or buildings.
We have plans in place to support Covid testing and we have asked our students to get tested before they travel to Bath, twice on arrival and twice a week thereafter.
We have plans in place to support students to quarantine if they are arriving from countries which require it. We are also encouraging all members of our community to get fully vaccinated before the start of term if they are able to do so.
